SHAH ALAM – The e-IPTS system, developed by the higher education ministry, is expected to accelerate the process of approving any application from the private higher education institutions (IPTS).

Minister, Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh said the online system, developed in collaboration with three public universities, would replace the manual application process which was taking too long to complete.

“The e-IPTS system can be accessed anywhere at any time as long as there is Internet connection. The IPTS can also check on the progress of their applications via the system.

“It is hoped the ministry’s quality of services will be improved and we will meet our customers charter by immediately settling any application made by IPTS,” he told reporters after launching the system at HELP University, here last Tuesday.

The e-IPTS system has seven accessible modules namely IPTS establishment, IPTS registration, chief executive, study courses, students, teaching staff and iInspectorate.

First implemented on April 3 involving 24 IPTS as a pilot project, the system can now be accessed by all 495 IPTS nationwide.
