KUALA LUMPUR: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan (pic) has given his support to the re-introduction of English-medium schools in the country.
He however added that it was important to get feedback from all sectors in order for it to be implemented.
“I am a firm believer that English-medium schools should be set up in the country.
“If we can have Chinese, Indian and religious-based schools … and others such as national and private, why can’t we have English-medium schools?
“We cannot deny that English is an international language that is needed by children who are living in a competitive age,” he told the media after delivering his keynote address at a TalentCorp conference on Monday (Nov 20)
